Penn Manor COVID-19 Updates

*April 24: Information on updated grading procedures, tech tips available

Penn Manor has updated its grading criteria and procedures for all students for the final marking period. The school district also has released some new technology tips for parents to better follow their children’s progress in online learning.

*April 17: Prom is cancelled; virtual commencement planned

Penn Manor has cancelled prom and is planning to hold commencement in a virtual format that will include participation by students and families. Learn more here. Please check back for updates on the high school website here.

*April 9: Schools now closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year

Gov. Wolf has announced that all schools in the state will remain closed through the current school year. Remote learning will continue throughout the school year, based on the district calendar. The last day of school is May 29.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.

*April 8: Restrictions at district outdoor recreational facilities

To help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, all outdoor playgrounds, recreational facilities and fields at Penn Manor schools will be closed until further notice. This closure does not include the walking path at Herr Park.

The plan explains the remote learning program that Penn Manor teachers will provide for students through the remainder of the shutdown.

*April 3: Food, household items available to Penn Manor Community

Every Wednesday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., community members in need can receive basic staple food products from the Loft at Millersville Church, 3116 Blue Rock Road.  Toiletries are distributed the first Wednesday of every month. Distributions are made on a drive-through basis so recipients do not need to leave their vehicles.

This is for Penn Manor families only, and recipients must provide identification to confirm their residency status.
