Penn Manor COVID-19 Updates

*April 6: New Continuity of Education plan is available here.

The plan explains the remote learning program that Penn Manor teachers will provide for students through the remainder of the shutdown.

*Special Education notice to parents regarding the COVID-19 school shutdown is here.

*April 3: Food, household items available to Penn Manor Community

Every Wednesday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., community members in need can receive basic staple food products from the Loft at Millersville Church, 3116 Blue Rock Road.  Toiletries are distributed the first Wednesday of every month. Distributions are made on a drive-through basis so recipients do not need to leave their vehicles.

This is for Penn Manor families only, and recipients must provide identification to confirm their residency status.

If you would like to donate food and/or household supplies, learn more here.

*April 2 update: Restrictions at district outdoor recreational facilities

To help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, all outdoor playground facilities at Penn Manor schools will be closed through April 30. The public is permitted to use walking paths, the practice football field/track at Penn Manor High School, open fields at Comet Field, and other open space while practicing social distancing to do our part to try to reduce the spread of the virus.

Closed facilities include

  • Indoor recreational facilities
  • Water fountains
  • Playground equipment

When considering using Penn Manor School District open spaces please remember to:

  • Stay home if you are sick
  • Don’t congregate in groups
  • Take hand sanitizer, and use it regularly
  • Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
  • Avoid touching your face, eyes, nose and mouth
  • Clean up after pets
  • Avoid activities that put you in crowded areas

Thank you for your cooperation.
