Title IX states that: No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity. Penn Manor School District complies with all Title IX requirements.
The prohibition on discrimination in employment in Title IX encompasses, but is not limited to, recruitment, advertising, hiring, upgrading, tenure, firing, rates of pay, fringe benefits, leave for pregnancy and childbirth, and participation in employer-sponsored activities. The regulation applies to all employment decisions whether made directly or indirectly through contractual arrangements with referral agencies, labor unions, organizations providing or administering fringe benefits, or others.

Substitute Teacher Service Paraprofessionals
Substitute Teacher Service, Inc. (STS) is hiring for Special Education support staff. Elementary/Secondary Personal Care Assistants and Paraprofessionals (Life Skills, Learning Support, Emotional Support), as well as Substitute Support Staff. We are looking for caring, patient individuals to join our team. The hours vary by position, but are typically Monday – Friday, follow the school year calendar, and are approximately 6-6.5 hours each day. The pay rate is $11.06/hour. Prospective Teacher Substitutes Act 86 of 2016
- Must be currently enrolled in a Pennsylvania approved college or university teacher preparation program.
- Must have a minimum of 60 semester hours or equivalent.
- May teach a maximum of a maximum of 20 days per year.
- Meet requirements of Section 111, 111.1 and 1109 of the School Code related to clearances and moral character.

Important FBI Fingerprinting Clearance Notice for Employees, & Volunteers
Pennsylvania has initiated a vendor change in the FBI fingerprint process. The new vendor is IdentoGo. Please review the Clearance Instructions below before you attempt to obtain your FBI Fingerprints.
Act 150 of 2015 requires ALL prospective employees, current employees, independent contractors and volunteers to get and renew criminal background checks (both Pennsylvania State Police as well as FBI) and child abuse clearances on a five-year cycle.
