Important FBI Fingerprinting Clearance Notice for Employees, & Volunteers

New! – The state of Pennsylvania has initiated a  vendor change in the FBI fingerprint process. The new vendor is Identogo. Please review the Clearance Instructions below before you attempt to obtain your FBI Fingerprints.

Act 150 of 2015 requires ALL prospective employees, current employees, independent contractors and volunteers to get and renew criminal background checks (both Pennsylvania State Police as well as FBI) and child abuse clearances on a five-year cycle.  More information about the application process for these clearances is available here:

Full-Time 2nd Shift  Custodian Opportunities

Penn Manor School District has several job opportunities for full-time, Monday-Friday,  2nd shift custodians. Under the supervision of the Head Custodian, this position will be responsible for all aspects of custodial and minor maintenance repairs within the assigned school. Prior institutional custodial experience is preferred.  The primary duty is to provide a clean, safe and comfortable environment for the staff and students.

The hourly range is $11.44-$14.30 commensurate with experience.

Locations available:

Central Manor Elementary School- Part Time – 2nd shift, 180 days, 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

Marticville Middle School- Hours–2:30 p.m.-11:00 p.m.

High School- Hours–2:30 p.m.-11:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1year Custodial experience in a school district is preferred.
  • Ability to properly operate all custodial cleaning equipment, including the proper use of chemicals and solutions as appropriate to the particular equipment.
  • Prior experience performing minor maintenance repairs.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to maintain a professional relationship with supervisors, other staff, parents, students and the public.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry supplies weighing up to 80 pounds. Occasionally, lifting, pulling, pushing up to 125 pounds with assistance.

Enrollment Related Aides

Penn Manor School District has openings for part-time Enrollment Related Aide positions needed to assist in the classrooms and/or building.  Duties may include:  assisting the teacher with students who need independent work, supervise students, and maintain and monitor student behavior and discipline. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be cooperative and service-oriented. All positions are for 2017-18 school year.

The starting hourly rate is $9.58/hour.  These positions are available Monday through Friday, effective immediately.  The hours are flexible, working up to 29 hours per week.  They include Academic Support Aide at Central Manor Elementary, Marticville, Pequea and Ready to Learn Aide at Hambright Elementary.

Penn Manor Employment Application

 Full-Time Health Room Assistant/Health Room Nurse (HRN)

The Penn Manor School District is accepting applications for a Health Room Assistant/Health Room Nurse (HRN) to work full time between Pequea and Martic Elementary Schools. The scheduled days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday at Conestoga Elementary School; 8:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. and Wednesday, at Martic Elementary, 8:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m.,  6.5 hours per day, 32.5 hours per week.  The pay rate is $12.91 – $16.13/hour with LPN certification; the pay rate is $15.90 – $19.87/hour with RN certification.

Interested applicants should be aware that, if hired, they would be responsible for obtaining and providing the necessary background checks and clearances as well as evidence of a physical and TB/Mantoux testing within the past 12 months.  LPN or RN License and current/recent working experience in the health care profession are preferred.

General Job Description – Health Room Nurse
Under the supervision of the Certified School Nurse, this position requires the ability to effectively follow oral and written instructions, to work independently (when appropriate), to handle emergency situations and to adjust to changes in the educational environment.   Additionally, the Health Room Nurse must be able to communicate with employees at all levels and maintain a positive attitude with all employees, parents, students, and other individuals utilizing District buildings.  This position requires the ability to effectively utilize student information management systems, Microsoft Word, and other district programs to maintain student health information in accordance with established policies and procedures as well as the ability to apply the required skills within the scope of LPN/RN practice. A current CPR/First Aid training (valid card must be maintained on file at all times).

Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid PA Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License
Valid PA Registered Nurse (RN) License
Recent nursing experience, within one year of application preferred.
Previous experience providing LPN services to students in a K-12 school environment is preferred.
