Important FBI Fingerprinting Clearance Notice for Employees, & Volunteers

New! – The state of Pennsylvania has initiated a  vendor change in the FBI fingerprint process. The new vendor is IdentoGo. Please review the Clearance Instructions below before you attempt to obtain your FBI Fingerprints.

Act 150 of 2015 requires ALL prospective employees, current employees, independent contractors and volunteers to get and renew criminal background checks (both Pennsylvania State Police as well as FBI) and child abuse clearances on a five-year cycle.  More information about the application process for these clearances is available here:

Support Staff Open Positions

Food Service Worker – Penn Manor HS

Hours:   Part-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am-1:30 pm, 27.5 hours per week, $10.08 per hour, 180 days while school is in session.

Responsibilities include:  preparing and serving food items to students, facility and staff as well as maintaining the facility in a safe and sanitary condition and complying with all mandated Federal/State/Local health requirement and HHFKA, setting up of the serving line, assembling proper serving utensils, serving food at correct temperatures, cleaning between serving periods, efficiently and in a positive attitude.

Penn Manor School District has an opening for a full-time, Monday-Friday,  2nd shift custodian. Under the supervision of the Head Custodian, this position will be responsible for all aspects of custodial and minor maintenance repairs within the assigned school. Prior institutional custodial experience is preferred.  The primary duty is to provide a clean, safe and comfortable environment for the staff and students.

A minimum of 1 year Custodial experience in a school district is preferred. Ability to properly operate all custodial cleaning equipment, including the proper use of chemicals and solutions as appropriate to the particular equipment.  Prior experience performing minor maintenance repairs.  High School diploma or equivalent required.  Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to maintain a professional relationship with supervisors, other staff, parents, students and the public.  Ability to lift and/or carry supplies weighing up to 80 pounds. Occasionally, lifting, pulling, pushing up to 125 pounds with assistance.

Penn Manor School District has an opening for a part-time Career Aide, working in the Guidance Department at the High School, up to 10 hours per week, effective August 21, 2019.  Duties may include: using existing data to identify students in need of career guidance using surveys, personal recommendations, Careercruising reports, PSAT, SAT, ACT, results, etc., and focusing on students who qualify for free or reduced lunch or who would be a first generation college student.

Substitute Teacher Service Paraprofessionals

Substitute Teacher Service, Inc. (STS) is now hiring Elementary/Secondary Personal Care Assistants and Paraprofessionals (Life Skills, Emotional Support, Learning Support), as well as Substitute Support Staff to assist and support for the 2019-2020 school year. We are also hiring bus aides for morning and afternoon runs. Hours vary by position, but are typically Monday –  Friday, following the school year calendar and approximately 5-6.5 hours each day.
