In accordance with Board Policy 312 “Performance Assessment of Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent,” commissioned officers are evaluated annually by the Penn Manor Board of School Directors.
The superintendent is assessed using mutually agreed upon performance standards.
The assistant superintendents are also assessed using mutually agreed upon performance indicators.
Process and Timeline
The school board directors establish annual goals for the superintendent and review the progress throughout the school year. The board concluded their annual performance evaluation on May 18, 2020, and reviewed the results with Dr. Leichliter.
The superintendent, in conjunction with the school board, establishes annual goals for the assistant superintendents and reviews the progress throughout the school year. The board and superintendent concluded their annual performance evaluation of Dr. Egan and Dr. Gale on June 15, 2020. The results were shared with both individuals by Dr. Leichliter.
Based on results of the 2020 annual performance evaluations, Dr. Leichliter, Dr. Egan, and Dr. Gale have successfully met the mutually agreed upon objective performance standards in all categories.
