Pequea Elementary Lockdown

Pequea Elementary implemented lockdown procedures this morning as a result of a phone call received from Lancaster County Emergency Services. At approximately 10:15 a.m. the school went into a full lockdown after a report of possible shots fired in the vicinity. At approximately 10:30 a.m. the Southern Regional Police Department contacted Pequea after they had conducted a full investigation of the incident and gave permission to end the lockdown after determining there was no danger to the students and staff at Pequea Elementary. Students and staff responded appropriately to the lockdown and were not in danger at any time.
