The GIANT Company has donated more than $3,700 to support the nutritional needs of Penn Manor students.
The donation was generated through the “GIANT Feeding School Kids Program,” during which customers were asked to round up their grocery purchases to the nearest dollar or convert their CHOICE Rewards points to grocery dollars.
GIANT matched these donations by $1.5 million and is distributing the proceeds to participating school districts and organizations.
The Penn Manor donation of $3,728 will be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables and offer cooking classes to elementary students.
Erin Arnold, manager of the Stone Mill Plaza GIANT store, visited Penn Manor High School April 9 with assistant manager Zach Kamen to present a check to Penn Manor food service director Courtney Kolp.
Many thanks to GIANT and its customers for their generous support!
