High School Giving Tree Benefits District Families

The Penn Manor High School Student Council organized a Giving Tree to benefit 38 district families in need. Nearly 200 holiday tags were placed on the library Christmas tree. Students and staff were invited to take a tag and grant the wish of the recipient. Each tag for a child contained a “need” item and a “want” item; adult tags listed only a “need” item.  There were family tags for items such as cleaning supplies and toiletries. Due to the generosity of the students and staff, all the tag recipients will have their wishes granted. Student Council members (pictured) sorted and marked the gifts by family. The district social workers will deliver the gifts prior the holiday.
