Volunteers needed for Honduras project

Volunteers are needed this Saturday to help with a project to provide classroom furniture to impoverished children in Honduras.

Penn Manor is donating old furniture from the shuttered Hambright school on Temple Avenue to the Central American Relief Efforts (CARE), an organization that provides humanitarian aid to residents of Honduras. Two years ago, the district donated furniture to help establish a school in La Laguna de San Antonio de Padua in southern Honduras.

On Saturday, April 11, volunteers from Penn Manor and CARE will be at the old Hambright from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. to pack tables, chairs and desks into shipping containers.

If you are available to help, please contact Chris Johnston at chris.johnston@pennmanor.net.
