PM students complete Free Enterprise program

Congratulations, Penn Manor students, for completing Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week, a summer program that gives high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to see what it’s like to run their own businesses.

Thirteen PMHS students completed the program at Lycoming College and Pennsylvania College of Technology. They were tasked with turning a failing company into a financial success by developing their own marketing strategies and websites and making the kinds of decisions demanded of real-life company executives.

Students who complete the program are eligible for scholarships ranging from $8,000 to $20,000 to attend Lycoming or Penn.

Participants from Penn Manor were Trent Barbusca, Emily Carello, Daria Degtiareva, Cayla Hurlburt, Maura Leichliter, Healey Miller, Haley Newton, Lydia Ostrowski, Ean Renshaw, Collin Rineer, Zachary Sowers,  Anneli Starry and Angelica Tejada.

PMHS was cited as a “silver” school for having so many students participate.
