Fifteen Penn Manor School District employees recently earned $25 gift cards for participating in the Make One Change Program — and improving their health.
The second round of the program, which encourages staff to make one wellness change in their lives, ended last month. Participants’ names were entered into a drawing, and 15 people won gift cards to Weis, Giant or Subway.
The winners were: Kathy Young and Megan Peart – Martic; Amy Wall and Kim McMullen – HS; Dell Jackson, Tom Reustle and Deron Gue – Manor MS; Beth Kaplan and Karen Braun – Eshleman; Lisa Collins – Conestoga; Jessica Klube, Laura Stephan and Lorien Gilbert, Central Manor; Courtney Costello – Marticville; and Starla Hess – Pequea.
Participating staff members have lost weight, improved their diets, started walking or running and taken other steps toward better health.
The next round runs until April 28. During that period, staff members who make one wellness change and stick with it for five days earn one entry into the drawing. When the change becomes a habit, employees are encouraged to pick a new change. Staff members must keep their own records of their change, and entries are submitted on the honor system.
Employees may submit up to 12 entries to their building wellness representatives.
Stay healthy … and warm!
