Manor Middle School is home to Penn Manor’s Summer B.R.E.A.K. (Brain Riveting Enrichment Activities for Kids) program the week of June 11. 265 students are participating in 38 different classes. Students in grades 1 to 6 can choose courses such as Art Mania, Jewelry, Interesting Insects, Floor Hockey, Spanish, Duct Tape Creations, Dodgeball, Hip Hop Dance and Tennis. Students in the Mad Scientists course made slime out of borox. The students in Simply Sweet made edible mice using a Hershey’s Kiss, chocolate covered cherry, and almonds. Fitness Fun participants were in the weight room learning to use the equipment and the climbing wall. Students who just completed kindergarten are in Kinder Kamp learning about chemistry and students who will be in kindergarten in the fall are enrolled in Delightful Dinosaurs. This is the 17th year for the Summer B.R.E.A.K. program.
