Penn Manor Alum Brings NASA to Students

Jacob Bleacher graduated from Penn Manor in 1996 but never forgot his alma mater. He recently visited Mr. Dave Bender’s Earth Science classes to share with students his experiences since high school. Dr. Bleacher is now a Research Geophysicist for NASA at the Goddard Space Flight Center.  He is working on Desert RATS (Research and Technologies Studies), a project that will be used to study lava flows on Mars. In addition to meeting with science students, Dr. Bleacher also met with members of TSA (Technology Student Association) who are developing a website for an upcoming state competition on where NASA is heading today.
