After a few morning rain showers, the sun came out to welcome Penn Manor School District students for the first day of school on Monday, August 24.
“What a great start to the 2026-2027 school year,” reflected Superintendent Dr. Phil Gale. “There is a tremendous amount of excitement and anticipation on the first day. I am very thankful for all of the hard work the Penn Manor team put into preparing for the year. I look forward to all that we will accomplish as we are relentlessly focused on doing our best.”
Dr. Gale spent the day visiting district buildings, greeting and talking with students and staff members about the excitement for the upcoming school year.
Students will follow a regular schedule Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week.
The first early dismissal of the year will take place on Friday, August 28, with no AM kindergarten. Early dismissal times are 12:20 p.m. for secondary students (grades 7 through 12) and 1:30 p.m. for elementary students (K through grade 6).
As a reminder, there is no school Friday, September 4 or Monday, September 7 in observation of the Labor Day holiday.
We look forward to a great 2026-2027 school year! Welcome back, Penn Manor.
