Five students from Marticville Middle School were awarded for the successes in a number of Academic challenges this winter.
Eighth grade students Kaylee Burnette, Charlie Gordon, and Will Ryan competed with seventh grade student Aaric DeLap in a MathCounts Competition at Millersville University. The team came in 12th place out of 19 teams.
Liam Walton, an eighth-grader from Marticville, competed in three national bee competitions at PA Southern Regionals. Liam clinched first place in the geography and science bees, and second place in the history bee. He has qualified to compete at the National level.
