Dear families,
This is to inform you of an incident involving a student being in the possession of a weapon on Penn Manor High School property on March 16, 2026.
The safety of our students and staff is, and always will be, our highest priority. Please be assured there was no active threat to students or staff as the weapon was inadvertently brought to school with no intent to cause harm.
Due to state and federal confidentiality laws, we are unable to provide additional details about this matter.
The high school administration was notified of this through a responsible reporter using the Safe2Say website. Safe2Say continues to be the best way to communicate concerns during and after school hours. Safe2Say is a statewide program monitored and staffed by trained professionals 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. District administrators immediately receive the details of the report, regardless of the time of day. Thank you to the many people who use the Safe2Say system to alert us of concerns.
