The artwork for 19 talented Penn Manor High School art students was accepted into the Lancaster County Young Artists competition. Their art will be on display in downtown Lancaster as part of the Scholastic Art Awards and the Lancaster County Young Artists Awards exhibitions.
Nine of the students were honored with Regional Scholastic Art Awards:
Emma Dawkins: 2 Gold Keys (“Discordance” and “Eclosion”), two Silver Keys, and an Honorable Mention.
Lyla Walter: Silver Key.
Anna Nonnemacher: Honorable Mention.
Emily Sauder: Gold Key (“Pain and Beauty”)
Davie Lebo: Honorable Mention.
Riley Hazle: Two Silver Keys.
Laney McCanna: Honorable Mention.
Claire Mincemoyer: Honorable Mention.
Layla White: Gold Key (Digital Self Portrait) and a Silver Key.
Maggie Cantrell, Jenny Steffy, and Heather Stief are the art teachers of the students receiving the awards.
The artwork can be viewed at the Lancaster Museum of Art from March 6 through April 19.
In addition, Riley Hazle is being awarded the 2026 CX Carlson Cultural Trust Scholarship from the Red Raven Art Company. This scholarship is awarded to students who are attending college for Art. Riley is the first Penn Manor student to be awarded this competitive scholarship, as all the top art students in the county apply.
