The Penn Manor Education Foundation awarded 31 Venture Grants to our school district principals and teachers totaling $72,641 for fall 2025.
The grants allow students to take educational field trips to Gettysburg, The Franklin Institute, Charlestown Park, Penn Medicine Park, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Fulton Theatre, and the North Museum of Nature and Science.
Other grants funded kindness assemblies at all elementary and middle schools, the Cardboard Regatta competition at Millersville University’s swimming pool, classroom materials for art and music programs, and enhancing 3D printing concepts in the high school and elementary schools.
The grants also funded literacy and reading programs, student success kits, and books that will be printed at LeTort Elementary through a peer-editing project. Central Manor students will benefit from additional funding for an after school program with the help of the grant funds.
Several grants involved collaboration between departments and grade levels, which increases the impact the grants will have on the students and all 10 schools.
Penn Manor teachers and principals have the opportunity to apply for additional Venture Grants during the spring 2026 cycle from now until January 30, 2026.
We are grateful for the Penn Manor Education Foundation for all their support!
