Career exploration initiative takes students to PCAD

A group of 8th grade students from Marticville Middle School students went on a career exploration field trip to Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (PCAD).

This field trip is a part of the school’s Career and Readiness Initiative, which helps students begin thinking about future education and career pathways.

During the tour, students learned about a variety of undergraduate programs offered at PCAD, including animation, graphic design, photography and illustration. The students also heard about an exciting new partnership between PCAD and Rock Lititz, which will provide hands-on opportunities for students interested in design and live event production.

“The visit allowed our students to see how creativity can translate into a wide range of career paths,” said Marticville Middle School Counselor, Danielle Rogers. “It’s exciting for them to realize that their interests and talents can lead to real opportunities beyond high school.”
