Ten Penn Manor elementary students have been hailed as good citizens by State Rep. Scott Martin.
The fourth- and fifth-graders each received a Good Citizenship Award for demonstrating kindness, dependability, respect for others, a positive attitude, service to their school and community, leadership and an understanding and appreciation for civic responsibility.
The students were nominated for the awards, sponsored by Sen. Martin’s office, by their teachers.
Award winners include Clara Kantz (4th grade) and Alice Jenkins-Rouse (5th) from Letort; Makenna Lance (4th) and Ariana Aquino-Tavarez (5th) from Pequea; Kiera Crowley (4th) and Tashan Stoltzfus (5th) from Martic; Vivian Mace (4th) and Molly Buckwalter (5th) from Central Manor; and Cecilia Corrodo (4th) and Ava Shenk (5th) from Conestoga.
The students were recently honored during ceremonies at their schools.
This is the second year for the program, which Martin established to recognize young leaders attending schools within his legislative district.
Congratulations to these students and their teachers.
