Penn Manor students earn multiple TSA awards

Students from three Penn Manor schools have earned multiple awards in the Technology Student Association Regional Conference, held January 25 at Conestoga Valley High School.

The students all qualified to compete at the Pennsylvania TSA Conference in April.

Manor Middle School

Charlie Gwyn placed first in the Website Design competition, and River Burke placed second in Inventions and Innovations.

Four teams earned the following third-place awards:

Flight – Caedmon Charles and Caleb Brubaker; Mechanical Engineering – Sam Deamer and Hunter Strine; Problem Solving – Gabe Lamborn and Jeremiah Kirkley; and Coding – Matthew Detter and Caleb Brubaker.

In addition, Matthew Detter and Marshall Pfannenstile earned a fifth-place award in Structural Engineering and a seventh-place award in Problem Solving.

Marticville Middle School

Trent Hess placed 10th in the Dragster event, and the team of Ricky McCauley, Shawn Mays and Gideon Stewart placed second in the Mechanical Engineering event.

Penn Manor High School

Ayden Fawcett and Abby Moncak qualified for the Extemporaneous Speech competition.

These students are now eligible to compete in the Pennsylvania TSA Conference, scheduled for April 23-26 in Champion, PA.
