Three recent PMHS graduates earn AP Capstone Diplomas

Three recent Penn Manor graduates have earned prestigious Advanced Placement Capstone Diplomas.

Claire Eckroat, Ava Ritchie and Grant Rost, all 2024 Penn Manor High School graduates, are among the 21,000 students worldwide to receive the honor.

To earn the AP Capstone Diploma, students must earn scores of 3 or higher on Advanced Placement Seminar and AP Research exams, plus four additional AP exams of their choosing.

AP Seminar and AP Research are year-long courses that prepare students for college and career success through the development of critical thinking, academic research, collaboration, presentation, and time management skills.

Grant’s AP Research project explored the link between sleep quality and problematic social media usage. Claire researched children’s T-shirts and their relation to gender, and Ava researched suburban high school students’ perceptions of single versus married people.

Grant is attending the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in business administration/finance. Claire and Ava both attend Lehigh University. Claire is majoring in international relations; and Ava is majoring in chemical and biomolecular engineering.

We congratulate these students and wish them the best on their future endeavors.
