All Penn Manor students are eligible for free breakfasts for the 2024-2025 school year under a state-funded Universal Free Breakfast initiative.
Students do not have to sign up for the breakfast program.
Breakfast is available each morning when buses arrive. Elementary students eat in the cafeteria, and middle school students receive a “grab and go” meal. High school students have the option of sit-down or “grab and go” meals.
Penn Manor also participates in a program to provide free or reduced-price lunches for students based on family income. An application is required for students to receive free or discounted lunches.
Parents will need to create a SchoolCafe account to fill out the free or reduced application, which considers family size and household income. Families must re-apply each year to be eligible.
The deadline for re-applying for this school year is October 9. If families do not re-apply by October 9, they risk reverting to paid status. Families may apply for free or reduced-priced meals at any point during the school year.
By submitting a lunch application, your child’s school may receive additional funding to improve nutrition and education programs. Applying for free and reduced-price meals also can help families with fees for SAT and PSAT tests, college applications, advanced-placement exams and other school related.
Qualifying for free and reduced-price meals also means your family may qualify for low-cost internet service from Comcast.
