Penn Manor High School’s student-run store is now filling orders for Penn Manor merchandise online via the new Comet Corner website.
The site was created by Penn Manor students, led by senior Nicole Foutz, who learned to use Google Sites to create each merchandise display page, link them together and create an online order form.
Nicole did much of the work on her own time, said Christa Craig, Comet Corner advisor and business educator, who also serves as coordinator of the high school Applied Engineering, Technology and Business Department.
Comet Corner is a natural progression for the school store, which was opened in physical form in spring 2023 near the entrance to the main gymnasium.
The store, which is open every Thursday during lunch periods and during select sporting events, is run by high school students enrolled in Honors Accounting I and Honors Accounting II classes.
Next year, a new Independent Study Honors School Store Management course will be established to support the school’s operation.
The store sells Penn Manor T-shirts, sweatshirts, pants, hats, keychains and other school gear.
