Sen. Martin honors Manor FFA national award winners

State Sen. Scott Martin visited Penn Manor High School February 9 to honor three groups of students who won awards at the FFA National Convention.

The students, all Manor FFA members, earned gold or silver medals at the FFA National Convention and Expo, held October 30 to November 4 in Indianapolis.

Sen. Martin presented certificates of recognition to members of the Poultry Evaluation team for earning a gold medal, and the Ag Mechanics and Forestry teams, each of which earned a silver medal.

The Forestry Team included Derek Thomas, Kenzi Nafziger, Weston Shertzer, Brady Breneman and Delvin Kneisley.

The Poultry Evaluation team included Rachel Sensenich, Emily Railing, Jenna Railing, and Ava Crill. The Ag Mechanics team included Layne Perry, Keith French, Chase Vinson, and Collin Harnish.

Martin thanked the students for their dedication to Manor FFA, their school and the agricultural industry, and encouraged them to continue pursuing a career path in agriculture.
