Penn Manor Productions will present the musical Once Upon a Mattress March 10 and 11 in the auditorium of Penn Manor High School.
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 10, and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 11. Tickets are $7 for students and $10 for adults. All seats are reserved and can be purchased online or via this order form.
A special showing for Penn Manor staff and Comet Classic cardholders will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 9. Reservations are not required, but audience members may use the ticket order form to reserve seats for this show. This show is not open to the general public.
Once Upon a Mattress brings the classic tale of The Princess and the Pea to life on stage. This whimsical fairy tale takes viewers on an adventure navigating Prince Dauntless’ search for love and Queen Aggravain’s unreasonable expectations.
On top of that, Lady Larken, Sir Harry, and the rest of the kingdom’s happily-ever-afters depend greatly on the marriage of Prince Dauntless. When Princess Winnifred of Woebegone arrives, the plot takes a playful turn that will leave viewers of all ages entertained.
Student performers include Maddie Stern as Princess Winifred, Rayn Andreychek as Prince Dauntless, Amber Floyd as Queen Aggravain, Jack Cassidy as King Aggravain, Jordan Smith as Sir Harry, and Caroline Whitfield as Lady Larkin.
