Penn Manor High School ranked No. 3 in Lancaster County by U.S. News

Congratulations to Penn Manor High School students and staff for again earning top honors for their school from U.S. News & World Report.

Penn Manor is ranked No. 3 of the 18 high schools in Lancaster County included in the magazine’s 2022 Best High Schools issue, released April 26.

In addition, U.S. News ranked Penn Manor 74th of the 718 Pennsylvania high schools in the report.

This is the eighth year in a row that Penn Manor High School has earned a ranking of sixth or higher in Lancaster County.

Earlier this school year, our elementary and middle schools also earned high rankings from U.S. News. Five Penn Manor schools – Marticville and Manor Middle and Conestoga, Central Manor and Letort Elementary – were among the top 10 public schools in Lancaster County and the top 25 percent of public schools in Pennsylvania.

“Penn Manor is proud of the education we provide for our community,” said superintendent Mike Leichliter. “In spite of the challenges of the last two years, our teachers have worked hard to ensure that our students receive an outstanding education.”

The 2022 high school  rankings are based on graduation rates; students’ math and reading proficiency and whether those scores met expectations; the participation level and performance of students on advanced-placement tests; and the performance of “underserved” students, including low-income and minority students.

The rankings can be viewed here.

Thank you to our students, staff and families on this latest, well-deserved honor!
