Masks no longer required on Penn Manor school buses

Masks are no longer required to be worn on Penn Manor school buses, according to new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The CDC announced that it is “exercising its enforcement discretion to not require that people wear masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs.”

The CDC mask order still remains in effect at this time for other types of public transportation, including airplanes, trains and commercial buses.

If a school district uses those forms of transportation for school-sponsored trips, students and staff may be required to wear masks.
