Penn Manor is keeping all Hambright Elementary School students in full remote learning through Wednesday, December 23.
No additional schedule changes are planned at this time for other Penn Manor schools currently offering in-person instruction.
The decision to continue in a virtual mode for Hambright was made in response to staffing shortages due to COVID-19 that make it impossible to adequately staff the school.
Students should log onto their teacher’s Google Classroom or Seesaw accounts to obtain individual classroom schedules. Students will receive live, virtual instruction throughout the school day.
Regular, in-person classes for students will resume after the holiday break on Monday, January 4, 2021.
We encourage parents and staff to monitor the district website for updates regarding this situation. All families and faculty will receive a follow-up email from principal Eric Howe regarding expectations for online learning.
During the closure, we expect students to act responsibly by practicing social distancing, wearing masks in public and monitoring their health. If you or a member of your household tests positive for COVID-19, please contact the school nurse at 717-872-9503, ext. 3702, so we can identify any other individuals who may have been in close contact in the school setting.
As a community, we all need to do our part to assure that in-person learning can safely resume for Penn Manor students.
