Twelve members of the Manor FFA recently earned awards at youth livestock shows at the Solanco and West Lampeter Fairs. Here are the results:
Solanco Fair
Sheep: Chloe Perry was named Reserve Champion Showman, Light Heavyweight Champion, Reserve Heavyweight Champion, and Reserve Grand Champion; Jenna Smith was named Champion Showman, Heavyweight Champion and Grand Champion.
West Lampeter Fair
Swine: Jenna Smith was named Champion Light Heavyweight, Reserve Champion and Champion Showman four to five years; Danielle Oatman was named Champion First Year Showman; and Zach Anderson was named Champion Second Year Showman.
Sheep: Layne Perry was named Reserve Middleweight Champion; Berklee Perry was named Reserve Lightweight Champion and Overall Reserve Champion; Chloe Perry was named Reserve Heavyweight Champion; and Jenna Smith was named Senior Class Showmanship Champion.
Goats: Alyssa Chalfant was named Reserve Champion Lightweight, Reserve Champion Heavyweight, and Class 4 Champion Showman; Becky Barley was named Class 3 Champion Showman.
Beef: Chloe Perry was named Grand Champion Steer; Carter Hess earned Reserve Champion Steer honors; Sam Garrett was named Lightweight Champion; and Lauren Sensenich earned Heavyweight Reserve Champion honors.
Dairy Beef: Alyssa Chalfant was named Reserve Champion Dairy Beef and Champion Showman.
Youth Encouragement Awards: Vita Failla received $150 and Jenna Smith received $200 toward showing an animal for the fair next year.
