PM MiniTHON raises $40,000 to fight childhood cancer

Many thanks to the Penn Manor students, staff, community members and businesses who helped make the 2020 Penn Manor MiniTHON such a success!

The fund drive, which ended Friday night, raised $40,062 for Four Diamonds, an organization that provides support to pediatric cancer patients and their families.

Students and staff participated in MiniTHON activities, including dancing; karaoke; basketball, dodgeball and floor hockey tournaments; sumo wrestling; an obstacle course; a photo booth and other games and activities.

This year’s event also featured a Community Hour from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday during which members of the public could enjoy carnival games, inflatable rides and food.

Throughout the school year, MiniTHON funds were raised through a variety of fundraisers, including a dodgeball tournament, bake sales, car wash, bingo, pancake breakfast, “man pageant” and other activities.

Students also solicited donations from area businesses, who generously supported the cause.

Thanks again to everyone who helped raise funds for Four Diamonds! #FTK

Many thanks to PMHS senior Alex Detter for the photos!
