Penn Manor Productions will present the farce Noises Off Friday and Saturday, Nov. 16 and 17, in the auditorium at Penn Manor High School.
A play within a play, Noises Off follows a group of actors as they rehearse a flop called Nothing’s On amid slamming doors, offstage intrigue and flying sardines – of all things!
The play is especially challenging because it involves Americans portraying British characters onstage. And the entire stage rotates, from onstage to backstage, requiring actors to switch from voiced lines to pantomime.
The cast includes Alex Anderson, Leilani Torres, True Herbert, Brynne Davidson, Garrison Webster, Hailey Fafel, Colin Rost, Seaerra Barshinger, Damian Allman and understudies Josy Ebersole and Dylan Marchio. Carole Shellenberger is director, Melissa Mintzer is assistant director, and Mark Dennis is technical director.
Noises Off will be presented at 7:30 p.m. both nights. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. All seats are reserved and can be purchased online here.
