Congratulations to Karly Emmert, Penn Manor’s 2016 Homecoming Queen, and the entire homecoming court, for raising $4,300 to help military veterans and their families.
Karly was named queen at halftime of the Comets’ Friday night homecoming football game, an exciting 23-7 win over Conestoga Valley.
Karly and her fellow homecoming candidates — Shania Pagan, Emma Young, Lynsey Wissler, Kiah Trago, Emily Gutierrez, Brooke DeBerdine and Victoria Martin — raised money for Operation Homefront, a program that provides housing, food and other assistance to families of members of the armed forces.
Karly is the daughter of J. and Sherri Emmert of Conestoga. She participates in cross country, swimming and track and field and is a member of Varsity Club and Aevidum.
After graduation, she plans to attend a four-year college and study marine biology or athletic training.
Thanks to all who supported the homecoming court!
