HS Master Plan workshop to be held May 16

Penn Manor school board will hold a workshop on Monday, May 16, on the High School Master Plan beginning at 5 p.m. in the auditorium of Manor Middle School.

Board members will review the four construction options being considered for the high school and discuss feedback from the public and financing options. Public input is welcome.

The options range from $52 million for a basic renovation of the existing high school to $100 million for a new school. The high school is experiencing deterioration and major component failures, and improvements are need to adequately meet current and future educational needs.

Penn Manor School District has held four public presentation on the high master plan, along with a presentation for senior citizens. At the May 16 workshop, board members will consider which option to pursue and make a recommendation before rendering a final decision June 20.

Following the May 16 workshop, the board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m.
