‘Putnum County Spelling Bee’ Nov. 20-21

Penn Manor Productions will present the musical “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” Nov. 20 and 21 in the Penn Manor High School auditorium.

The show tells the story of six eccentric middle school students, all competing feverishly for the title of county spelling champion. The kids spell their way through many life lessons about growing up, winning and losing and the reality of living up to expectations.

Meanwhile, the adults onstage have their own issues to work out.

Cast members include Haley Hoffer, Luke Richardson, Hailey Fafel, Petros Karpouzis, Jules Leddy, Alex Patterson, Gabby Martino, James Mintzer and Parker Brown.

“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. both nights, with a 2 p.m. matinee  on Saturday, Nov. 21. The play will include audience participation.

Tickets for students and senior citizens are $6; adult ticket are $8. Tickets may be purchased from any student cast or crew member or by calling the box office (872-9520 xt. 1958), mailing in the ticket order form below, or ordering online at this link

Any remaining seats will be available at the door for all performances.
