Most recently, K-12 staff members across the district were together for the District Opening Day on Monday, August 20th. This day involved a whole group, morning session on the New Teacher Effectiveness/Evaluation Model presented by two staff development specialists from IU13. The afternoon consisted of small group, break out sessions facilitated by the Penn Manor Administrative Team to address the specifics of the Teacher Effectiveness/Evaluation model based on the work of Charlotte Danielson. This initiative will be implemented by districts across PA in the year 2013-2014.
