Kennedy Kulish Receives Jefferson Award

Penn Manor High School freshman Kennedy Jet Kulish recently received the prestigious Jefferson Award for Public Service from local sponsor WGAL. She was one of the six people in Pennsylvania to be honored and has been chosen to represent Pennsylvania in June at the National Jefferson Awards in Washington D.C. The Jefferson Award recognizes ordinary people who perform extraordinary service to their community.

Kennedy helped to start Kisses for Kaeden, a charity that raises awareness and funds for children and adults with heart defects, when she was in elementary school after her little brother received help for a heart condition. Since its inception, Kisses for Kaeden has raised $135,000 which has been donated to numerous charities such as Make A Wish, the Ronald McDonald House, Mom’s House and the American Heart Association.
