Mrs. Wall’s Marketing and Law classes competed recently in the PM Apprentice. Six teams developed a product to sell, put together a marketing plan, presented their plan to a panel of bankers to secure start-up costs, and then spent 4 days trying to outsell each other. With products ranging from handmade bracelets to hot dogs, the students used good salesmanship, marketing, advertising, and colorful displays in the area above the high school cafeteria to entice buyers. When the competition was over, Team Sweet Tooth had prevailed. Their product was milk shakes. After the initial investment of $100.00 was repaid, the team’s net profit was $352.58. The six teams combined to make a donation of $218.50 to the Penn Manor Education Foundation who initially provided the investment capital.
