The well-loved, energetic musical, The Music Man, will be performed at Penn Manor High School on March 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th at 7:30 p.m. The Music Man is a comedy about con-man, Harold Hill, who sets out to take advantage of the citizens of a small Iowa town. His scam involves convincing the people of River City, Iowa to buy band instruments with a promise to create and instruct a boy’s band. His wild scheme is flawed when he meets a beautiful and clever librarian, Marian, who rebuffs his advances and vows to prove to the small town that he is a fraud. Harold Hill will be played by Tim Deubler and Marian will be played by Jill Wiley. The Music Man was previously performed in 1974 and 1994 to rave reviews.
