French students take trip to Quebec

French students from Penn Manor in eighth through 12th grade had the opportunity to travel to Quebec, Canada over President’s Day weekend.

The Quebec trip has been a tradition for over 20 years, that was initiated by high school French teacher, Madame Klingaman.

This year, a group of 43 students traveled to Quebec with Madame Koerner, Mrs. Cox, Mrs. Kreck, Mr. Schumacher, and Mr. Ziegler.

The trip attendees explored French Canadian culture by being introduced to curling, snowshoeing, and dogsledding.

Among other cultural and sports activities, they visited Wendake American Indian museum, an ice hotel, a maple sugaring shack, where students stirred their own maple butter, and attended an improv show.

Students represented Penn Manor well, showing curiosity in exploring Quebecois foods and culture.

Well done, students!
