Students from Marticville Middle School recently had the option to recognize Children’s Grief Awareness Day.
The day was dedicated to supporting young people who have experienced the loss of someone important to them. The event was thoughtfully organized by the SAP (Student Assistance Program) team, who created meaningful opportunities for reflection and connection.
Students and staff were encouraged to wear blue to show solidarity and remind one another that no one has to face grief alone. As part of the day, students could write uplifting messages of encouragement on the butterflies that are on display in the cafeteria.
Thanks to the effort of the SAP program, the day encouraged compassion, understanding, and a stronger sense of community support.
