Penn Manor elementary and middle schools earn ‘Best Schools’ honor

Nine Penn Manor elementary and middle schools have received ‘2026 Best Schools’ honors from the U.S. News & World Report rankings released late last week.

All seven of our elementary schools and both middle schools were named to the ‘Best Schools’ list, based on student scores on state assessments in math and reading and socioeconomic status of each school’s population.

Out of 3,208 elementary schools in the state evaluated for the report, Letort ranked 109th. Pequea Elementary School was ranked 290th, followed by Central Manor ranked 300th, Conestoga 305th, Eshleman 331st, Hambright 451st and Martic 624th.

All nine elementary schools were within the top 20% of the state.

Marticville Middle School was ranked 71st out of 2,384 middle schools in the state. Manor Middle School was ranked 116th in the state.

Both middle schools were in the top five percent in the state.

“I am very proud of the work our teachers, support staff, and students put forth each day,” said Superintendent Dr. Gale. “The recognition demonstrated what happens in our schools each day.”

Earlier this fall, Penn Manor High School was ranked by the U.S. News & World Report as one of the ‘Best High Schools’ in the Nation.

Out of 17,901 public high schools in the nation, Penn Manor was ranked 2,611th. In the state of Pennsylvania rankings, Penn Manor was ranked 100th out of 741 high schools and 3rd in Lancaster, Pennsylvania area public high schools.

Congratulations to our staff members, students and families for making this possible!
