Welcome to Penn Manor High School!
Image
Welcome to the Penn Manor High School website! Our completely renovated high school complex, dedicated on October 12, 1997, is home to nearly 1900 students in grades 9-12. The facility boasts a great library media center, a spacious gym, which seats over 2000, and a beautiful cafeteria that will seat 600. In addition to updated classrooms and lab facilities, we have over 700 computers all connected to the Internet.

Penn Manor High School is now in its tenth year of a 4x4 block schedule. This restructuring of time allowed us to improve instructional strategies and involve students more actively in their learning. Study halls were eliminated and students are able to take eight classes a year. In such a large building, the eighty-eight minute block provides our dedicated teachers with the opportunity to know their students better and individualize their learning. Students are less likely to feel anonymous. Since beginning the block, we have noted improved attendance, decreased discipline problems, reduced failures, improving grades and a less hectic school climate. We continue to have one of the lowest dropout rates in the county.
