Systems Engineer

The Penn Manor School District Technology Team is seeking an enterprise support lead for district servers, network infrastructure, and software applications. The Systems Engineer configures, designs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs server hardware and network services in a complex mixed platform, mixed vendor, open source environment.  Candidate must have excellent customer service abilities, superior communication skills, and a self-driven work ethic are essential.  Five or more years of enterprise technology support experience and a degree in a related field is required.  Expertise in Linux and Windows server administration, directory structures, structured data cabling, TCP/IP protocols, routing, VLANs and firewall design is essential.  Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, configuration management, and automation is preferred.

Full time, 12 months, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m

Title I Assistant

The Title I Assistant provides support to students in reading including teaching and re-teaching skills, assessing progress, and reinforcing reading strategies.  Provides support to students in math, including teaching and re-teaching skills, assessing progress and reinforcing math strategies.  Follows lesson plans to instruct and reinforce present reading and math curricula and identify prerequisite foundational skills as needed.  Utilizes assessment tools including core phonics, CDT’s DIBELS, DRA, QRI, reading tests, math benchmarks, Study Island benchmarks, teacher observations, writings, and running records.  Monitors and evaluates student progress in reading and math.  Evaluates student strengths and needs including monitoring students’ reading comprehension, reinforcing skills and strategies to promote independent reading; and reinforcing skills and strategies to promote independence in math calculations and applications.  Instructs and reinforces vocabulary to aid in understanding and develop background knowledge.  Communicates with teachers concerning student progress and curriculum.  Evaluates student progress and communicates with teachers and parents. Provides input on student progress for Instructional Support Team meetings and Multi-disciplinary Evaluations.  Provides supplemental materials to support students and classroom teachers. Qualifications:  Must have secondary high school diploma or equivalent.  Must have completed two years of study at institution of higher education; or Associate’s (or higher) degree.

Custodian and Maintenance Supervisor

The Custodian and Maintenance Supervisor maintains a safe, clean, and efficient educational environment, oversees all maintenance, custodial and mechanical needs for the district, and provides direction and supervision to all custodial and maintenance personnel.  This position develops preventative maintenance programs for district equipment and reviews all custodial and maintenance reports to plan and modify school activities, job orders, and facility activities to determine high priority jobs.  The Custodian and Maintenance Supervisor develops and maintains files for all buildings to include blueprints, plans, specifications, contracts, bids and other pertinent information relative to building, construction, maintenance and operation.  Qualifications include:  Five years of experience in building maintenance work; High School diploma or equivalent; Comprehensive knowledge of building operating systems, regulator codes, safety regulations; Knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, electrical, facility disciplines, and trades such as masonry, carpentry, metal working and painting.

Full time, 12 months, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Food Service – Assistant Cafeteria Manager

The Penn Manor School District is now accepting applications for the Assistant Cafeteria Manager position.  Under the direction of the Café Manager, the Assistant Cafeteria Manager is responsible for providing support and oversight for all food service related activities at the High School. Primary responsibilities include the following: organizing food preparation activities; overseeing and assisting cafeteria employees with food preparation and serving; confirm breakfast and lunch counts; provide written reports; prepare daily deposits; complete daily/weekly provision orders and yearly inventory of all food and supplies; supervise cafeteria employees and comply with all mandated Federal/State/Local health requirements and HHFKA. Must have current Serv-Safe Certification.

High School:  Full-time, Monday – Friday, 5:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (180 days per year).
