On Wednesday, Nov. 18, the district will hold its third public presentation on the Penn Manor High School Master Plan, beginning at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
Penn Manor School Board is considering four renovation/construction options for the high school and is seeking public input on how to proceed. The school, originally built in the 1950s and partially renovated in the mid-1990s, is experiencing deterioration and major component failures. Improvements are need to adequately meet current and future educational needs.
Below is a flyer listing the four options, along with a schedule of upcoming meetings. The school board expects to choose an option by the end of the 2015-16 school year, but construction would not begin until the summer of 2019, at the earliest.
The Nov. 18 presentation will follow the same format and present the same basic information as the earlier master plan presentations.
The high school project is a major undertaking that will have a major impact on district programs and finances for years to come, so your input is crucial. Please participate!
