Student Arrival/Dismissal Instructions

If you are dropping your student offĀ before schoolĀ or picking him/her up after school, please reference the following map.Ā  This is our pick up and and drop off route.Ā Ā

The school day begins at 9:00 AM.  If your student arrives late or needs to be  picked up early, please enter through the main entrance. Visitors will not be permitted to enter from other doors.

STUDENT DROP-OFF PROCEDURES:

Students should not be dropped off any earlier than 8:50 am. The morning car rider door will open at 8:30 am for breakfast students only. Please do not drop your student off early for breakfast, if they are not going to be eating breakfast. Morning car rider drop-off is 8:50 am. Bus riders will be dismissed at 8:40 am if they are eating breakfast.

STUDENT PICK-UP PROCEDURES:

Our car rider line is located in the back of the building, please use the garden side of the building to access. Car riders are dismissed at 3:25 pm. We ask that all parents display the provided car rider bright green tag in your window for staff to see. If it is someone unknown by the school, they may be asked to show photo ID before your child is released to their care. If you do not have your placard you will be asked to show ID to pick up. Extra placards can be made for other family members picking up, please contact the office if you need more.

As parents arrive to drop off and pick up students, they should remain in their vehicles in a single-file line and students will enter the building and exit the building independently while supervised by staff members. Please be sure you notify the office of who is picking your child up.

We ask that if you need to enter the building, you park in an appropriate parking space and use the main entrance at the front of the building only, this includes arrival and dismissal times. Visitors will not be permitted to enter from other doors during our arrival/dismissal times. We appreciate your cooperation in assisting us in the supervision and safety of all students.

Safe2Say Information

Penn Manor School District is participating in a statewide effort to prevent school violence called Safe2Say Something.

The program enables students and staff to anonymously report information about individuals they suspect may be about to hurt themselves or others via a phone app, website or 24-hour crisis center.

To submit a tip or link to the Safe2Say app, click here.

To submit a tip by phone, call 1-844-5-SAYNOW (1-844-572-9669)

Trained Safe2 Say staffers will review the tips and immediately contact school officials and, if necessary, law enforcement, to respond to the information they receive.

Penn Manor has established a team of school staff members to respond to tips. In addition, students and staff will receive training on reporting tips and identifying behaviors that could indicate a student is intent on causing harm.

We encourage students and staff members to use this new tool in reducing school violence.
