Act 150 of 2015 requires ALL prospective employees, current employees, independent contractors and volunteers to get and renew criminal background checks (both Pennsylvania State Police as well as FBI) and child abuse clearances on a five-year cycle.  More information about the application process for these clearances is available here:

Educational Technology Coordinator (ACT 93)

The Penn Manor Technology Team is seeking an Educational Technology Coordinator to build a community of support for innovation and learning with technology. This new position will support faculty with the integration of software, hardware, coding, and robotics into their curricula, lessons, and classroom projects. You will coordinate, develop, and lead professional development and training, mentor the student help desk apprentices, oversee the future high school makerspace, and provide technical support for learning technologies and systems.

We’re not an ordinary IT department. Serious applicants should review our guiding principles and watch a short documentary about our award-winning student help desk and technology programs.

Excellent customer service abilities, superior communication skills, and a self-driven work ethic are essential. A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and training or teaching experience with students and adults is required. Experience supporting a range of software, hardware, and operating systems in an academic setting is also required. A technology or STEM-related teacher certification is strongly preferred. Athletic Trainer – Penn Manor High School

Under the direction of the Athletic Director, organize and conduct a comprehensive program in the prevention and care of athletic injuries. Evaluates the physical condition and advises and treats student athletes to maintain maximum physical fitness for participation in athletic competition, while keeping the mental and physical welfare of the student athlete as the top priority.

Promotes the prevention of injuries by all available means including conditioning, protective equipment, exercising, taping, and training techniques. Aids in the rehabilitation of athletic injuries using therapeutic modalities and designed rehabilitation programs. Assists the team physician and school nurse with organizing yearly athletic physicals.

Qualifications include: Graduation from an athletic training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) with a bachelor’s or master’s degree; Must be licensed by the PA State Board of Medicine; One year of certification and experience, 3-4 years of experience in athletic training setting; ATC Certified by and member in good standing with National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification required; Knowledge of human anatomy/physiology; Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License and acceptable driving record required; Current certification in first aid/CPR/AED.

District Support Secretary

Under the supervision of the District Data Coordinator, the District Support Secretary provides administrative, clerical, and customer support to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of district information services, registration, and school buildings. In the absence of the building secretary, the District Support Secretary will assist with the coordination of the daily duties and activities within the school office. The District Support Secretary will work from the District Office, as well as any school building, depending on need. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include: Provide clerical and building secretarial support including but not limited to answering phones and directing calls; greeting and assisting visitors; processing, and distributing mail; compiling daily lunch count, typing and preparing correspondence; addressing concerns from parents; scheduling meetings; and assisting with dismissal of students; Facilitate student registrations, withdraws, and Duties include the accurate entry of data in the student software system at the time of registration, processing enrollment changes, requesting records from previous schools, and maintain detailed child accounting data records; Provide data and clerical support for the District Registrar and Data Coordinator including but not limited to data entry, registration appointment scheduling, record requests, and information processing; Enter and maintain accurate records in student information system (Sapphire), including but not limited to: child accounting, registration, PIMS, demographics, record requests, and emergency contact information for students; Assist with preparation and release of district and building communications including letters, website postings, and scheduling of activities; Provide clerical and data assistance to special education and transportation staff; Develop data reports as needed, as required by districts information services staff, building principal, and secretary; Collaborates with the Technology Team and school building personnel in a professional manner to provide customer focused solutions for staff, students and parents; Perform other duties as assigned by the Data Coordinator, building principals, or district office.
