Testing finds no problems with lead in water systems at PM schools

Water testing recently completed at all 10 Penn Manor schools indicates there are no problems with lead in drinking water supplies at any district school.

The testing, completed in May 2021 by Suburban Testing Labs, did not find any drinking water supplies that exceeded the lead “action level” of 0.015 milligrams per liter of water at any schools. The vast majority of samples showed less than 0.001 mg/L of lead in water supplies at our schools.

Water systems that exceed the action level, established by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, must take further steps to reduce the lead content in water.
