A bright start to the new year at Marticville MS.

Smooth start to new year for Penn Manor schools

Penn Manor students returned to the classrooms today in what superintendent Mike Leichliter called “a great start” to the 2015-2016 school year.

The new year brings some changes, both temporary and permanent. Pequea Elementary students are attending classes at Conestoga, Martic and Hambright elementary and Marticville middle schools while their school undergoes renovations that will be completed by next summer.

Students at Marticville and Manor middle schools got to use their new student-issued laptop computers for the first time under the district’s expanded 1 to 1 program, which begins this year.

And Hambright Elementary students were greeted by a new principal, Eric Howe.

“The school year at Penn Manor is off to a great start,” Leichliter said after visiting schools as students arrived. “Our schools quickly filled up with bright and smiling faces this morning after a quiet summer. A special thank you to all of our families for sending such wonderful children.”

Welcome back!
