Penn Manor students earn state technology awards

Seven Penn Manor School District students have earned awards at the Technology Student Association State Conference, held April 15 to 18 in Champion, PA.

The middle and high school students were competing against 1,800 others from across the state in an array of technology challenges.

Penn Manor High School sophomore Kyle Groff was named a semifinalist in the Materials Processing event, and fellow sophomore Colin Cunningham was a finalist in the Essays on Technology competition, with a fifth-place entry.

The Manor Middle School team of Ray Gerner, Matt Schaefer and Jared Stephan placed second in the Go Green event. Ray Gerner and classmate Josh Brant earned a top-ten finish in the structural challenge event, and Manor’s Neel Mahapatra placed in the top ten in the flight challenge.

Congratulations for representing Penn Manor so well!
