Students, parents get first glimpse of Hambright

More than 200 students, parents and family members got to explore Penn Manor’s brand-new school Thursday as Hambright Elementary School hosted an orientation prior to Monday’s start of the new year.

Visitors got to tour classrooms in the school’s three color-coded wings, meet teachers, administrators and other staff and check out the brightly lit music and art rooms, gymnasium, cafeteria and library. A big hit was the colorful playground, equipped with swings, slides, climbing and spinning apparatus.

Hambright is Penn Manor’s first new elementary school since 1961. Located next to Manor Middle School, it replaces the old school on Temple Avenue.
