Parent training sessions scheduled for 1:1 Student Laptop Program

As the January implementation of Penn Manor High School’s 1:1 Student Laptop program nears, the high school will offer three sessions to parents to introduce the program, demonstrate the laptops students will receive and address questions.  The sessions will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 24, Nov. 20, and Dec. 11 in the high school library. Parents may attend as many sessions as they wish.

Under a pilot of the 1:1 program, about 90 laptops have been distributed to students. From the pilot, the district has learned valuable information that will enable full implementation to be more successful.  Parental input and questions are an important part of the preparation process, so parents are encouraged to attend one or more of the training sessions.

Feel free to contact Charlie Reisinger, district technology director, at 872-9500, or at with any questions. You also may contact high school principal Phil Gale, at .
